Review of The Last Exorcism (2010) by Christian L — 03 Jun 2012
The whole film rests on how much you like Patrick Fabian's character. I found him to be very likeable, charming and charismatic and thus ultimately very believable. This is not a very flashy movie and relies on good acting rather than slick hollywood scare effects.
Sadly the hand held documentary theme adds about as much as it takes away. Sure it makes it feel real but on the other hand it puts you in a situation that makes you want to see more than you are getting.
But overall I laughed as often as I was creeped out and it's short so why not check it out.
