Review of The Last Emperor (1987) by Colton D — 12 Aug 2010
I feel like I need to see it again to fully appreciate it. As Pu Yi's life is chronicled, at times comically, and others dramatically, I sometimes wonder how I am supposed to feel for the man. The visuals are stunning; the production design and cinematography gorgeous, especially in the first half.
Color plays such an important role.
