Review of The Last Dragon (1985) by Heather L — 17 Jan 2009
This is an all time classic. It is a definite "must see" for anyone who has not seen it. This movie iconically represents the music and style of the 80's in a light hearted way. The oxymoronic setting of two african american kungfu masters fighting in Harlem is a twist to the ordinary version of the good vs.
evil. The Last Dragon craftily encompasses many of the cliche plots all within one story, not only do you have the good vs. evil but there is the damsel in distress, there is the woman trying to rise abover her past, you have the sibling rivalry story where both sons are trying to be the best in the family.
..need I keep going. All I can say is that you have to see this movie if you haven't and afterwards you will be begging me to kiss your Converse!
