Review of The Last Detail (1973) by Joel A — 03 Nov 2012
The very rough, tough gritty drama about two sailors taking a young naive sailor to prison for a petty crime.
It's very much a product of it's time but it's got some great dialogue & Jack Nicholson is truly a force to be reckoned with.
The story unravels quite simply, but it's not for the faint hearted it's full of bad language & Nicolson's presence in the film is very unnerving. Very much a key film of the new wave of Hollywood in the early 70's...top film, rough but relevant.
