Review of The Last Castle (2001) by Ian C — 24 Jun 2013
A quality but over the top prison drama, which sees a disgraced but decorated General pitted against a sadistic warden in a prison revolt. Gandolfini is excellent as the Colonel/warden who never saw combat and is matched by Redford's war hero turned inmate.
The film is abit slow paced but the quality of acting and a great action packed finale makes this an enjoyable, flawed but highly entertaining flick.
