Review of The Last Boy Scout (1991) by Colin Y — 20 Feb 2008
I remember very clearly sitting in the cinema watching this and thinking too myself this was just waaaayyyyyy too much. The swearing (and swearing and more swearing on top of the swearing), the take no prisoners attitude and delivery were seriously over the top.
And that was just in the opening sequence, which is cinematic history in motion for its raw visceral punch in the guts presence. I suspect if I watched it again, some 15 years on, I would think this is pretty tame compared to some of the movies that have since been released.
Genre defining.
