Review of The Last Boy Scout (1991) by Colton M — 04 Feb 2010
A movie with Shane Black, Tony Scott, Bruce Willis, and Damon Wayans is bound to be good, and The Last Boy Scout does not disappoint. It's a standard buddy-cop movie, but Shane Black's screenplay twists it a bit, infusing it with wit and humor, while Willis and Wayans make a comfortable and charismatic on-screen duo.
Like all of Black's movies, it does a good job of mixing the humor with gritty and violent action, which makes it an enjoyable, light bit of fluff with a harder edge to it than you would expect.
