Review of The Last Boy Scout (1991) by Dann M — 20 Feb 2013
Director Tony Scott delivers an entertaining and high-octane action film in The Last Boy Scout. The story follows a private detective who teams up with a disgraced former football player to solve the murder of a stripper who was blackmailing the owner of L.
A.'s pro-football team. Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans lead the cast and have pretty good chemistry. The script isn't particularly well written, but Scott's able to keep the film moving with some good comedic moments and high-energy action scenes.
While it carries a lot of the cliches of '90s action films, The Last Boy Scout manages to be a fun and exciting thrill ride.
