Review of The Last Big Thing (1998) by Lee M — 06 Oct 2015
Hate this ultra-low budget indie post-modern satire for its pretension and shallow yet blinding glimpses at the obvious. Love this ultra-low budget indie post-modern satire for its originality, its anti-Hollywood sensibilities , the logic of its insane meta-conclusion, its warped astringent wit.
I think it lies somewhere in between, where a decent story would have corrected its most obvious flaws and allowed its most obvious virtues to shine.
