Gotta go with the critics on this one -- really whack-job premise with a visceral, sledgehammer ending. Any hopeless romantic can learn volumes from it.

Update, 2015: yeah looking back at what I wrote 5,6 years ago, this one really set a tone for an albeit crazy ass genre. But I mean the circumstance and imagery really hits you in the face, and for that the movie gets credit. Sloppy address but I mean you'll get it. It gets 3 because of how f-cking weird the rest of the movie is, but it's worth a look for sure. You'd be hard-pressed to find a movie that tackles the topic in such an approachable manner. Don't spoil it, "Ya gunna ruin it fa everybahdy." You'll understand the sh-t quote when you see the movie.
