Review of The Last Airbender (2010) by Tim W — 28 Apr 2018
There must be a court case pending bought by actors who, by associating with M. Night Shyamalan have had their acting careers damaged or ended. A brilliant first film with Sixth Sense (whether you saw the end coming or not) and it was sharply downhill from there. How many.chances does this toxic director get? Certainly more than the actors in this, many of whom disappeared without trace.
It's dull and full of contradictions. At one point, the character of Prince Zuno shouts to the retreating airbender 'You've nowhere to run' Duh. This child can manipulate the world around him with his unlimited powers. Running? I think he can do whatever he pleases, usekess and tepid villain. Except entertain. Some nice individual imagery doesn't save a cobfused and lifeless film.
