Review of The Last Airbender (2010) by Zachary C — 20 Aug 2014
This is truly painful to watch. I can understand why they changed the pronunciations (pointless and jarring though it is), I can forgive the poor acting since they're so young. The main vital element that this movie lost was the humor that endeared so many people to the original show.
They spent so much time explaining the plot that they left the once interesting, colorful and engaging characters wooden and two dimensional. This was disappointing in the extreme. The cool bending sequences and Dev Patel's acting are the only saving graces of this movie.
