Review of The Last Airbender (2010) by Alex H — 01 Sep 2013
I can never decide if this movie is so-bad-it's-enjoyable or just all-around awful. Either way, it's far from a good movie. In fact, it's one of the most genuinely terrible pieces of cinema I've ever witnessed. But its most egregious offense is existing as an adaptation of the beloved Avatar: the Last Airbender series - one of the greatest things children's television has had to offer. Its failure on that front is what makes it unforgivable.
But it does boast a great score from James Newton Howard, as well as some impressive set design. I will give it that.
