Totally incomprehensible how such a great story could be so completely... adulterated. I truly hope a worthy remake is done sometime in the near future, if only to rid us this one in our memories. I give it one star only because the bending effects make the grade.

If you have not watched the animation, then go ahead and take a gander, but your disappointment will nowhere meet those who actually saw the original, and will probably be in tears at the destruction of a great tale and characters much deeper than what is portrayed in this film.
