Review of The Last Airbender (2010) by Shannon O — 02 Feb 2016
More of a children's action adventure film than anything to be taken seriously. I watched this with young children who enjoyed it, similar to how they would like Spy Kids. I am unbiased when it comes to children's films, as some can be works of high art, and others magnificent despite targeting a younger audience.
However, this genre of "tween" action tends to loose itself in the special effects. I wonder how this story would fare on a low budget. The 2 stars are for the special effects.
