Review of The Laramie Project (2002) by Zack E — 21 Feb 2009
I watched this in Sociology class and was saddened and gripped by the story. It brought up a lot of very important issues that really need to be addressed. I think everyone needs to see this and really think about how we treat one another and how the live and let live sentiment really isn't all it's cracked up to be.
You're still ostracizing others and saying they aren't one of you and that viewpoint is still a gateway to extremist hatred. I think that entire section of the film was great and that's a message more people need to realize in order to make sure nobody is living in fear of horrible tragedies like this.
