Review of The Land Before Time (1988) by Ceara R — 18 Apr 2012
A dark film with characters children can relate to, but adults will probably enjoy it more. The contrast in the animation between the leaf-eating dinosaurs and the meat-eating ones is chilling. The T-Rex, or "Sharptooth" as they call it is a terrifying villain who probably gave several children nightmares.
Overall, every part of this movie is beautifully animated and entertaining to watch. The characters are well developed, and I could feel the pain they were all going through. Another successful film from Don Bluth's collection.
