Review of The Ladykillers (2004) by Jason D — 16 Feb 2009
I was so beyond disgusted and disappointed with this movie. It had potential, at its basest storyline, to be a funny, light-hearted flick. But they not only "laced it with profanity"...once everyone started getting killed off at the end, as though it were nothing, I was even MORE sickened.
It was the kind of rare movie that I want to turn off before finishing it, but I didn't. I should have, but instead I kept going, hoping it would redeem itself or something. Nope. I mean, sure the acting was really good (I actually think it was one of Tom's best roles.
Hilarious and unbelievable, the role he turned into.), I like a lot of those actors, too...but they just took it too far into darkness. :/.
