Disagree with you on this one, sports. I thought it was a great movie. The characters were well developed, there was bit of slapstick & a hilarious lampooning of the hip hop (hippity hop, Marva would say) culture.
Wayan & Hanks were hilarious, as were all of the other characters, even the in the smaller roles (George Wallace). This was one of Tom Hank's best performances. It was a minor Coen Brother's work.
But it was very well done. My guess is, back in 2004, Hollywood decided to only pick movies with gay themes & leftist agendas to give kudos to. The hypersensitive PC crowd probably thought the depiction of the hip hop culture to be racist.
They're always looking for something to cry about.............
