Not as awful as people might have you believe (wow, that's a ringing endorsement). Everyone is just a little off kilter, which is fine since it IS a Coen Bros. flick. A remake of a movie from 1955, which everyone seems to agree, should have stayed just the original.
Worth a watch if it's on TV. Not the best Coen's movie though (by a long ways).
