Review of The Ladykillers (2004) by Tim P — 04 Aug 2011
It's strange just how badly this film fails, and hard to explain why. To me, the bits which are supposed to be darkly comedic come off as just plain dark, and particularly pleasant. It does nothing to assure me that the Coen brothers, brilliant as they are, can direct pure comedy.
