Review of The Lady Vanishes (1938) by Jonny P — 03 Jan 2010
Though this isn't Hitchcock's greatest film, it does a great job of twisting around the truth. Unfortunately, it just does not deliver the intensity that is so characteristic of his style. I don't know if it was the accent, the age of the sound reel, or the enunciation of the actors, but I often found it difficult to understand the dialogue.
This is an enjoyable film with an interesting plot and a cheesy ending, but I don't know if I'd see it again.
