In what is probably Hitchcock's most far-flung film (it never knows whether to settle on being a mystery, comedy, or spy film), the tonal schizophrenia, (purposeful?) plot holes, and witty dialogue all culminate to make "The Lady Vanishes" enjoyable, but not great.
