Review of The Lady Vanishes (1938) by Rick Q — 04 Feb 2013
A mystery thriller with a cleverly confined feeling aboard a traveling train with characters racing to prove that the lady who vanished was aboard & is indeed missing. A great premiss & it's beautifully executed by Hitchcock & a strong ensemble cast in this 1938 classic.
For me the opening hotel sequences didn't entirely work but once we get aboard the moving train the film really shines in it's brilliance.
