Review of The Lady Vanishes (1938) by Matt M — 21 May 2013
Splendid in its creative force and suspenseful nature. Hitchcock, with one of his last British film before his Hollywood expatriation, delivers one of his most complete films to date and in his entire filmography, balancing tongue in cheek humour whilst taking full advantage of the claustrophobic setting to build great tension.
With this and many other techniques he exhibited elements that defined his style of filmmaking.
