Review of The Lady from Shanghai (1947) by Nicolas A — 17 Mar 2009
There are allot of things I liked about the movie, but the biggest one must be the sets and locations, expecially the sets from the pic-nic scene where beautifull. The cinematography is also one of the top things about the movie and offcource the performances by Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth.
Glenn Anders the man who played George Grisby wasnt that good to be honnest, maybe it is because of his weird character. Welles directed this movie very intresting with good suspence and the mystery in it doesnt let it get boring.
I really loved the story, alto at the end I was a bit confused. I always liked it when you here characters talk to themself, like they are thinking just like Michael O'Hara (orson welles) does in this movie.
I really enjoyed watching this, one of the top film-noirs with a great screenplay.
