Review of The Lady from Shanghai (1947) by Noel K — 02 May 2009
Interesting plot at times hard to follow. It might have been the forced edits by the studio bosses who parred down the movie by an hour. The last 30 minutes is probably the best part of the film with a shoot out in the hall of mirrors.
Rita Hayworth looks amazingly beautiful as a blonde and Everett Sloane, IMHO gives the best performance.
