Review of The Lady from Shanghai (1947) by Helen C — 16 Oct 2009
A remarkable film, not just for its time. One to be appreciated as fresh and as revolutionary now as it was when first released. The camera shots are both beautiful and thought provoking - the dialogue, superb and witty.
Each character has captivating and at times, disturbing qualities which in turn, create wonderful on screen chemistry. One of Orson Wellesâ?? finest.
