Orson Welles kind of ruins this movie - he's so miscast! But Rita Hayworth is great. It's definitely crazy (but in a way I only noticed that because this is a Welles movie - if Michael Powell were in charge I probably wouldn't have blinked) and it falls apart at the end, AND it tries way way way too hard.

Like, it goes out of the way to be quotable! Cause it's NOIR, right, get it? But whatever - still good fun. The kind of good fun you want to slap, but still fun. It's complicated.
