Review of The Lady Eve (1941) by Kristin C — 14 Jan 2009
This is my favorite Stanwyck film! Whether she is trying to "clunk" him on the head with her half-eaten apple from the floor above or convincing him that she is two totally different people, Barbara can get away with almost anything.
Fonda is adorable as the shy, clumsy and naively rich son. Even Blore (known for Fred/Ginger films) is perfect as a British conman.
