Review of The Kite Runner (2007) by Pavithra V — 26 Dec 2009
A patient, thoughtful and moving film about a subject unique to Hollywood: life in Afghanistan. Given the topic, this could have been a much larger film with a grand scope. Instead, it focuses on the lives of two young boys and, through that narrow lens, our post-9/11 world gets a peek into the almost alien world that is modern Afghanistan.
