Review of The Kite Runner (2007) by Joe B — 29 Oct 2009
It's reasonable to expect a movie based on a book can't cover everything the author expresses, but kite runner still gets a message across. on the upside, it had a neat way of tying past and present, the actors' expressions made the subtitles easier, and there were touches of humor in a sad cruel story.
the randomness of the screenplay had a dragging effect. the movie could have easily left out small cultural tidbits and replaced them with a longer more meaningful ending.
