Review of The Kite Runner (2007) by Gavin K — 22 Jan 2011
This is a good movie and unusually true to the book. The cinematography really added to the story, showing the contrast between pre-1978 Afghanistan and Soviet and Taliban time. The Ali character wasnâ(TM)t as much a presence as in the book.
I liked the dialogue between Amir and his father regarding sin and especially the fatherâ(TM)s explanation of sin and theft. It was very similar to the libertarian principles of self-ownership and non-aggression.
