Review of The King's Speech (2010) by Patryk C — 25 Jul 2012
Not exactly my Oscar pick, but nevertheless a fantastic drama with a bit of this witty British humor. Art direction is magnificent, the atmosphere is perfectly majestic, and the performances by Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush are undeniably inspiring.
The story of a stuttering heir to the throne is very enjoyable and distinct in its grand style. While it plays a bit like a fable, with its kings and queens and happy ending, it remains a satisfying movie.
