Review of The King's Speech (2010) by Nick J — 20 Dec 2012
I am so glad that I finally got to see this film. This is honestly one of the best dramas that I have ever seen. Colin Firth was absolutely brilliant as King George VI, and to be able to see his character grow from one who was incredibly stubborn and insecure to one who was confident and open was magnificent.
Additionally, the closing sequences of the film were just pure genius, and the scenes were some of the most beautifully framed and well-thought out scenes ever. I highly recommend this film to anyone who just is looking for a great story on how the character's struggle to find himself ends up changing not just himself, but that of a nation.
