Review of The King's Speech (2010) by Benjamin N — 04 Aug 2012
I was sceptical of this film; I mean seriously how could a movie about a guy with a speech impediment set in 1930's UK be any good? I was completely wrong and this is one of the best acted, most entertaining and compelling movies I have ever seen.
Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush's interactions in this movie are at once deeply emotional and flawlessly executed. Despite it's rather serious nature this movie has a fair bit of dry humour that will appeal to some viewers more than others although seeing as though it is not the focus of the movie, the lack of humour would not detract from it.
This is a must-see if ever there was one!
