Review of The Kings of Summer (2013) by Steve S — 06 Jun 2013

I went to the movies last night and saw this absolute gem of film. The story of three boys who become so frustrated with their home lives that they decide to run away to the woods where they've built a makeshift home and plan to live off the land.

It is so sweet and charming, and filled with so much heart. The acting is wonderful, the script is smart and snappy, the photography is absolutely stunning. It's hysterically funny, and heartbreakingly beautiful.

I just loved, loved, loved this movie. Do yourself a favor and go see it.
