Review of The Kings of Summer (2013) by Adam H — 05 Jul 2013
It's a story we've all heard a thousand times, but it's at least a fresh presentation. Being Vogt-Roberts's feature film directorial debut, it has some overbearing moments and forced metaphors, but not enough to cause significant damage.
With the exception of the protagonist and his father, none of the characters are particularly necessary, but all around solid acting makes the film an enjoyable experience.
