Review of The Kings of Summer (2013) by Brett H — 27 Sep 2013
Brilliant coming-of-age story that anyone who's ever been frustrated with their family life can relate to. The three leads (especially Moises Arias) are outstanding performers and every scene with them feels like genuine, teenager banter.
The film is rather oddball and quirky and towards the end it changes it's tone quite drastically, but it reminded me a lot of Stand By Me, which is never a bad thing!
