Review of The Kings of Summer (2013) by Benedicto A — 18 Dec 2013
A poignantly scripted movie that verge on teen rebellion on living and ruling in a modern day society. Fed up by his single father's dominating behavior Joe (Nick Robinson) find solace in the clearing tagging along his childhood friend Patrick (Gabriel Basso) and an unknown kid Biaggio (Moises Arias) building a house, a life of their own and whose friendship were tested.
Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts masterfully brought to the screen an ensemble of not known cast who successfully manages their own character giving the movie a good impression on friendship, humor and jealousy.
I could almost see myself in them who during my younger years were I was just living each day as if no one is controlling over me.
