Review of The Kings of Summer (2013) by Alex R — 20 Sep 2013

A sweet coming of age story about rebelliousness, being young and friendship. It's a bit strange at times but it still makes sense. It reminded me a bit of Son of Ranbow, and the most popular comparison is Stand by Me, though don't agree with that one as much.

I'm also intrigued to know the time the movie is supposed to take time in as there's a weird mix of props from different eras. I would guess mid-90s but there was newer stuff I think. Anyway, its very good.
