Review of The Kingdom (2007) by David S — 14 Nov 2010

Okay, it's sort of CSI: Riyadh, but ultimately this a pretty good movie. Yes, there are moments that lull and the events that take place paint the Saudi government as having much less control than they actually do.

But, culturally speaking, the contrast that exists is fairly accurate. As far as the writing goes, theres enough action and comedy built into the script to keep anyone entertained. And, at the same time it wraps up the movie on a more serious note sending a very clear message to the audience about Islamic extremism .

This film is a must watch for anyone interested in current events, or honestly anyone who simply wants a good action movie to watch on Wednesday nights.
