Review of The Kingdom (1994) by Maxime V — 11 Sep 2010
Solid, solid film. Stays starkly realistic for most of its duration, and just when you think it may get overly sentimental it ends with one of the best, most unconventional closing lines you'll ever hear in a Hollywood movie. The action only comes on occasion but hits hard when it does with some intense urban warfare.
Those who get motion sickness from movies beware that there's shaky camerawork galore (most noticeable during dialog scenes, strangely enough).
