Review of The King of Masks (1995) by Kelley C — 03 Apr 2009
This movie was a pleasant surprise, as I just happen to stumble upon it. a very touching film, well-acted and nicely crafted. a very convincing bond between the 'king' and 'doggie.' hell, I would say that the monkey did a great job too! the film speaks of government corruption in china and gender discrimination in a culture, where women are treated as second-rate citizens.
a true gem of a movie.
