Review of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007) by Mario H — 26 May 2010
This is really good. Billy Mitchell is one of the most selfish and irritating antagonists I've seen in a documentary. He's an arrogant douchebag. The rivalry between him and good-natured, extremely likable Steve Wiebe is very compelling.
It also paints the seedy world of competitive gaming in a very dark light, making it seem conspiratory and unfair. I'm surprised at how high the emotions run during the film. A definite recommendation.
