Review of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007) by John W — 05 May 2009
Documentary on a bunch of forty-something arcade gamers struggling to get the world record score on Donkey Kong. Sounds awful doesn't it? Don't let it put you off, this is a great real-life hero/villain story with a line-up of outcasts and oddballs that would grace any Apatow movie.
Star of the show is the unforgettable Billy Mitchell, quite possibly the most unjustifiably pompous twat that ever walked this earth. Great fun!
