Billy Mitchell is such a natural antagonist that it's hard to believe he's a real person. How can you not to love a documentary about a regular guy taking on an empire, even if it is all just a bunch of video games.
They successfully made us care about the people, making whatever the challenge was (in this case, it's Donkey Kong) irrelevant. Their personal stakes were what made it so fascinating.
