Review of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007) by Chen Y — 23 Dec 2010

A surprisingly entertaining documentary on the world of competitive classic arcade gaming, with one honest man's quest to take down an old donkey kong record. I really enjoyed learning about the games as much as observing the lives of these people, who needless to say, are quite some characters (i mean, who else would devote so much of their lives to conquering decades-old video games).

I agree with others that some of the scenes seem a little staged, but you can always wikipedia the story to get a better sense of the truth. even so, this touching tale of the battle for kong supremacy is quite the film.
