Review of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007) by Lisa B — 25 May 2013
You don't have to be a fan of video games to like this movie. This great movie is not just about a bunch a grown men playing donkey kong but is a thrilling movie documenting conspiracy, heartbreak, and triumph.
In this touching documentary we see Steve do whatever it takes to break the record and when he does finally does, the king of live record breaking Billy just sends in a tape. Not only do we learn about Billy and Steve we learn about the others who have desperately tried to beat records and their own interesting stories.
If you did not know who held the record the movie keeps you on the edge of your seat to see who will break the record. From making it to the kill screen to breaking the record this is one movie I highly recommend and is one of the best documentary's I have ever watched.
