Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Kenneth D — 29 Apr 2008
Robert DiNero has this penchant for akward humor and suddenly his role in Meet the Parents doesn't seem so out of the ordinary. The King of Comedy is unusual. It is at times funny, squirmish, dramatic and gripping.
It has the formula to be one of my favorite movies. Is it? I dunno...I think it falls just short. But, it is very good especially if you enjoy Meet the Parents, Wet Hot American Summer, or other oddball and akward by design films.
